Description

With the increasing demand for higher bandwidth and scalable access networks, the optimization of optical amplification and wavelength management becomes critical. Erbium doped fiber amplifier (EDFA) hybrid with Semiconductor Optical Amplifier (SOA) has been extensively used in critical high performance in optical communication systems. This paper proposed a huge FTTH WDM PON network with 10 Gbps data rate by using forward pumping in EDFA – SOA to create a huge bandwidth, then duplication and slicing method which able to support up to 4 194 394 number of users with acceptable value of BER and Q-factor with fiber length maximum 40 km.
