Description

The textile industry in Indonesia plays an important role in economic development. This research focuses on applying circular economy principles in Indonesia's textile industry to address challenges such as textile waste management and sustainability. The Indonesian Government's initiatives to promote a circular economy, as outlined in various regulations and development plans, aim to enhance the efficiency and competitiveness of the textile industry while reducing impact on the environment. The results of this research can be used to compare and link economic growth and the circular economy in the textile industries in Indonesia. The potential for developing a post-consumer circular economy for the textile industry in Indonesia requires the development of efficient technology, with the goals of efficiently using raw materials and supporting emissions reduction. Coordination and cooperation between stakeholders are needed to support implementation, especially promoting the use of recycled raw materials, increasing industrial capacity and human resources, implementing industrial efficiency as well as the need to support policies and incentives for industries.
