The 2nd International Agriculture Revolution Symposium (IAGRIS) 2025 is the second international symposium organized by the Department of Agrotechnology under the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering & Technology, Universiti Malaysia Perlis (UniMAP).
The primary focus of this symposium is to provide a platform for professionals, researchers, academicians, and industries to share and generate interest in addressing the SDGs, with a special focus on ending hunger, achieving food security, improving nutrition, and promoting sustainable agriculture.
This year’s symposium with “Interdisciplinary Collaboration for Agricultural Transformation Towards Sustainable Practices” theme will offer combination of several tracks focusing on Smart Farming & Internet of Things (IoT), Agricultural Mechanization & Automation, Crop, Fisheries & Livestock Production Technology, Agricultural Waste Management & Utilization, Green Energy & Environment, and Sustainable Food & Agriculture. The diversification benefits the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering & Technology since the symposium theme can be expanded to include a broader range of agriculture & engineering disciplines. Thus, it is expected to increase the number of participants that can attend the symposium.
The objectives of the IAGRIS 2025 are as follows:
- To bring together scientists, engineers and other industrial professionals to present their findings and discuss future trends, directions and new challenges for the agricultural engineering and technology fields.
- To create a network among participants, thus will benefit in terms of research collaborations and publications.
- To increase understanding of the drivers of agricultural innovation and the main constraints.
- To discover various possibilities in realizing engineering and technology towards practical and commercial utilization.
- Act as a catalyst for boosting partnerships as well as public and private investments to foster and scale up agricultural innovation.
