The Faculty of Electronic Engineering & Technology will be hosting the 8th International Conference on Electronic Design (ICED) 2026 on from 17th to 18th September 2026 in Penang with this year theme of “Innovations in Electronic Design: From Nano-Scale Devices to Intelligent Systems”.
The upcoming ICED 2026 continues the legacy of its previous successful editions held in 2008, 2014, 2016, 2018, 2020, 2022 and 2024. The inaugural conference started with the National Conference on Electronic Design (NCED) in 2005. The conference provides a platform for professionals, researchers, academicians, and industries to share and generate interest in cutting-edge applications, challenges and issues in the area of electronics and computer applications. The theme of the conference this year has been chosen in view of the transformative developments from nano-scale electronic devices to intelligent and autonomous systems, reflecting the full innovation chain of modern electronic design.
This conference offers several tracks focusing on Computing track, covering Artificial Intelligence, Signal and Image Processing, Internet of Thing (IoT) and Big Data, and Electronic track covering Analog and Digital Design, Telecommunication, Electronic/Photonic Communication, Optoelectronics, Micro/Nano Electronics, Optic & Photonics, Green Electronics and Embedded System and System-on-Chip (SoC).
